Connecting to a proxy in Google Chrome

In this article, we describe the steps to activate proxies in Google Chrome through the FoxyProxy and Proxy Auto Auth extensions.

By default calling proxy settings in Google Chrome redirects you to your OS proxy settings. But also you can use some extensions for Google Chrome browser.

For connecting to a proxy in Google Chrome you need to install an extension, like FoxyProxy or Proxy Auto Auth.

FoxyProxy for Google Chrome:

  1. Open Chrome webstore: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/category/extensions
  2. Search for FoxyProxy extension
  3. Install Foxy Proxy
  4. In the Google Chrome choose FoxyProxy extension and choose «Options»
  5. Click «Add New Proxy»
  6. In this window insert all necessary information (Host or IP-address; Port; Username; Password). You can find this information in Customers Dashboard.
  7. Click «Save»

Proxy Auto Auth for Google Chrome

  1. Open Chrome webstore: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/category/extensions
  2. Search for Proxy Auto Auth extension
  3. Install Proxy Auto Auth
  4. In the Google Chrome choose Proxy Auto Auth extension
  5. In opened window insert «Username», «Proxy password» (this information you can get from Customers Dashboard)
  6. Click «Save»
