Connecting to a Proxy in Safari

This article provides step-by-step instructions on how to connect a proxy in the Safari browser using the Preproxy extension.

By default, calling the proxy server settings in Safari redirects you to the proxy server settings of your OS. However, you can also use Safari browser extensions, such as Preproxy.

To install Preproxy and connect a proxy in the Safari browser, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Safari browser and select Settings there.

  3. To find the Preproxy extension, click the More extensions... button.

  4. Type "Preproxy" in the search engine → install the Preproxy extension.

  5. Open the Preproxy extension and enter all the necessary information (address, port, username, password) in the window, which you can find in your Personal Account.
  6. Click Start.
