Connecting to proxy in Android

A proxy server is a convenient and effective tool for a secure connection to the Internet. When connecting to your local network, a proxy server used will act as an intermediate link between you and the Internet. All nodes on the Internet will identify the proxy server, not your device.

On Android, you can customize the design settings for each Wi-Fi network. For example, when connecting to corporate, home, or other networks. All browser traffic will be routed through the specified proxy server.

To setup a proxy for your Android device follow these steps:

  1. Open «Settings»
  2. Open the «Wi-Fi» section
  3. Choose the Wi-Fi network to which you’re connected
  4. Choose «Advanced»
  5. Tap on Proxy mode and switch it to «Manual»
  6. In this menu, fill all necessary fields (Proxy hostname; Proxy Port; Username; Password). You can find this information in Customers Dashboard.
